Plus Beaux Villages de France
- The Lot has six of them!

Of the 142 officially designated Plus Beaux Villages de France (Prettiest Villages of France), there are six in the Lot that you can visit from your Bellfrance holiday house, bed and breakfast or gite rentals near Pouch.

These are: Autoire, Cardaillac, Carennac, Lacapelle Marival, Loubressac and, a bit further afield (but well worth the effort) St. Cirque Lapopie, near to the gite at Marcilhac.

In addition, just 15 minutes drive North from Carennac (Carennac is only 20 mins drive from Pouch) is another Plus Beaux Villages de France, Curemonte.

But then a matter of another 20 minutes drive further North across the River Dordogne, you can visit Turenne and Collonges La Rouge...

One of the joys of renting a holiday house in France, is to sit by the pool and do nothing more adventurous than read a good book. But when the spirit stirs you, it is good to know that there are places worth venturing forth to see. Well in the Lot region of France, you are not only spolit for choice regarding rivers (Lot and Dordogne), scenery; tourist, prehistoric, historic sites... with all these Plus Beaux Villages de France to see nearby the Pouch bed and breakfast and gite holiday house rentals, there is a very good chance that book will remain unread!
